Why do I feel the need to shout

My entreaties and my pleas

When You are just a whisper away

And not across the Sea

Why do I feel the need to search?

To see You and to talk

When You are just behind closed eyes

Listening to my Thought

Why do I feel the need to Ask

For things that I require

When You have already fully prepared

Things better than my desire

Why do I feel the need to Explain

Things of Thought and Deed

When You have already known before

The plants when they were seeds

Why do I fear the winds of fate

And take action out of fright

When you have given me Reason and Will

To set my sails aright.
